Welcome to CallNode. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of CallNode's telephony platform and services. By using our services, you agree to these Terms.

1. Service Description

CallNode provides cloud-based telephony infrastructure including phone numbers, voice calls, and SMS/MMS messaging. Our platform enables customers to:

  • Purchase and manage phone numbers
  • Receive and make phone calls
  • Send and receive SMS/MMS messages
  • Integrate with automation tools (n8n, Make, Flowise)
  • Build custom communication workflows via webhooks and APIs

2. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree to use CallNode services only for lawful purposes. Prohibited activities include:

  • SPAM: Sending unsolicited bulk messages or marketing without consent
  • Fraud: Impersonation, phishing, or deceptive practices
  • Harassment: Threatening, abusive, or harassing communications
  • Illegal Content: Content that violates laws or regulations
  • TCPA Violations: Calls or texts without proper consent
  • Robocalls: Automated calling campaigns without consent

3. Messaging Compliance

10DLC Registration: All A2P (Application-to-Person) messaging must comply with carrier 10DLC requirements. You are responsible for:

  • Obtaining proper consent before messaging recipients
  • Providing clear opt-out mechanisms (STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE)
  • Honoring opt-out requests immediately
  • Maintaining accurate campaign descriptions
  • Following CTIA Messaging Principles and Best Practices

4. Billing and Payment

CallNode operates on a pay-as-you-go model with optional Pro Bundle subscriptions:

  • Voice calls: Billed per minute at published rates
  • SMS messages: Billed per message segment
  • MMS messages: Billed per message with media
  • Phone numbers: Monthly recurring fees
  • Pro Bundle: $40/month includes 1000 minutes, 1000 SMS, 100 MMS

All charges are deducted from your prepaid wallet balance. You must maintain sufficient balance for uninterrupted service.

5. Service Availability

While we strive for 99.9% uptime, CallNode makes no guarantees about service availability. We are not liable for service interruptions, carrier issues, or third-party failures.

6. Account Suspension

CallNode reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that:

  • Violate these Terms of Service
  • Engage in fraudulent or abusive activity
  • Generate excessive complaints from recipients
  • Fail to maintain payment obligations
  • Violate carrier policies or regulations

7. Data and Privacy

CallNode processes call and message data to provide services. See our Privacy Policy for details on data handling, retention, and your rights.

8. Limitation of Liability

CallNode is not liable for:

  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Loss of revenue, data, or business opportunities
  • Third-party carrier failures or routing issues
  • Regulatory compliance obligations of customers
  • Content sent or received through the platform

Total liability is limited to fees paid in the last 3 months.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify CallNode against claims arising from your use of services, including TCPA violations, spam complaints, or regulatory penalties.

10. Changes to Terms

CallNode may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of services constitutes acceptance of updated Terms. We will notify you of material changes via email.
